Exhibition outline : ENEX2012 and Smart Energy Japan 2012 will be held concurrently based on the concept of a “low-carbon frontier” that contributes to the formation of a low-carbon society and the development of the energy industry.

The main features are introduced by the following three catchphrases:

Catchphrase 1 – Power saving
“Power saving” recently attracted more attention than ever with the event of the Great East Japan Earthquake. This exhibition will bring together power saving products and solutions for offices, buildings, and factories. The exhibition will also host an assembly of energy harvesting technologies (technologies that extract very small and usually imperceptible quantities of energy as a useful power source), which can realize “power-free” operation. This will be an event full of information to assist in power-saving measures for this winter through to next summer.

Catchphrase 2 – Energy conservation
In association with the return of the Energy Conversation Grand Prix this year, a commendation ceremony (free) and presentations of selected examples (paid admission) will be held for the Energy Saving Grand Prix. The exhibition will also serve to bring together new energy devices related to energy conservation (solar power generation systems and wind power generation systems, etc.).

Catchphrase 3 – Smart grid
The application of IT is indispensible for the advancement of smart grids. The exhibition will bring together short distance radio communications modules used for smart meters and electricity/environmental monitoring devices.

This exhibition will enable attendees to gather all the information needed on energy-related products – from upstream (communications networks and devices, etc.) to downstream (energy-saving products, devices, and solutions, etc.).
